We want to take a moment to thank you all for your ongoing support these past five years since we began roasting fair trade organic coffee here in Norikura Kogen. It’s been a pleasure to learn and grow together.
Without your support, we would not have been able to continue this journey to provide fresh coffee to more and more people in our little mountain community.
We also wanted to take a moment to fill you in on some changes to our pricing. You probably already noticed that almost everything is getting more expensive. In order to continue providing high quality, fair trade, organic coffee to you, we need to raise our price from ¥400 per 100 g to ¥550 with tax per 100 g. We have been postponing this price increase as long as possible and will finally need to put it into place from October.
Several factors contributed to the increase – an increase in our raw coffee price, production-related costs, and operating costs. This will be the first time we have increased our price since we began roasting and selling coffee beans in 2018.
Beginning October 1st Timor-Leste Coffee Beans will be ¥550 with tax per 100 grams.
